College Recruiting Support

College Level Recruitment:

Stealth Field Hockey participates in the top tournaments in order to provide athlete’s with the top exposure to college recruiters. During the recruiting process, the Stealth Field Hockey Coaching Staff will be there to provide full support. This includes, but not limited to:

  • contacting the colleges of their choice via email and direct calls
  • developing the relationship between colleges and athletes
  • providing adequate amount of playing time in order for the athlete to be noticed
  • providing advice on how and what to focus on in order to achieve the goal of playing at the collegiate level both technically and mentally.

MAJOR CHANGES TO THE D1 RECRUITING TIMELINE

The NCAA announced last week the adoption of new rules legislation overseeing the athletic recruiting process for Division I sports that will have a major effect on the field hockey recruiting timeline.  The first two changes are already in effect, as of this Wednesday, April 25.

  • D1 Athletic Departments can no longer participate in a prospect’s unofficial visit until September 1 of their junior year
  • Recruiting conversations during a school’s camp or clinic can no longer happen before September 1 of a prospect’s junior year
  • Effective August 1, 2018: Official visits will be allowed to begin September 1 of a prospect’s junior year in high school
